The Helsinki Music Centre stands at Mannerheimintie 13 A in Töölönlahti, between Finlandia Hall and Kiasma. LPR Architects of Turku won the competition, with Marko Kivistö as chief designer. The foundation stone was laid on October 22, 2008. Handover came in April 2011, and the formal opening was on August 31, 2011. The article names the main hall as vineyard-type but gives no style for the building.

It has a green copper facade and a glass-walled foyer, and a large part of it is underground. The floor area is 36,000 square meters. The main hall seats 1,704, and five smaller rooms hold 140 to 400 people. Yasuhisa Toyota was the acoustics consultant.

It houses the Sibelius Academy and two symphony orchestras. The total cost was 189 million euros, above the 160 million budget. A landscaped terrace covers the underground structure. The article gives no hours.
