The Helix Bridge is a pedestrian bridge across Marina Bay in Singapore, linking Marina Centre and Marina South. The article lists COX Group of Australia and Architects 61 of Singapore as architects and ARUP as designer. The Urban Redevelopment Authority owns it, and the article names no client or style. Sato Kogyo and TTJ Design and Engineering built it.
Construction began in 2007. The bridge opened in part on April 24, 2010 and fully on July 18, 2010. It is 280 meters (920 feet) long and shaped as a left-handed double helix like DNA. It uses about 650 tonnes of duplex stainless steel and 1,000 tonnes of carbon steel.
Fritted-glass and perforated steel mesh canopies shade the walkway, and four viewing platforms look over the bay. The bridge is lit at night. It is for pedestrians only, and the article gives no hours.
