Hautecombe Abbey, by Lake Bourget, was founded about 1101 by hermits from Aulps Abbey and moved to the lake shore about 1125. King Charles Felix of Sardinia bought the ruins in 1824 and had the church reconstructed by the Piedmontese architect Ernest Melano. The article gives no exact dates for that work.

The article calls the reconstructed church exuberant Gothic-Romantic. It is 217 feet (66 m) long and 85 feet (26 m) wide across the transept. It names no materials. The abbey holds House of Savoy burials.

The abbey was sold in 1792 and became a china factory. The infobox gives 1790 to 1826 for its disestablishment. Benedictines left in 1992, and the Chemin Neuf Community now administers it. About 150,000 tourists visit yearly. The article gives no hours.
