The Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center on the Qiantang riverfront was designed by NBBJ with China Construction Design International. Groundbreaking was in December 2009, and it opened in December 2018 at a cost of CN¥5.8 billion. The article names no client and no style, and it says the design draws on the texture of silk and the Qiantang River.

The main stadium holds about 80,000 across three seating tiers, with the north stands left open for ventilation and river views. Its steel exterior carries 28 large and 27 small petals. The site covers 60,000 m², with 229,000 m² of construction, and a tennis center and a swimming center sit beside it.

It hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2022 Asian Games and the 2022 Asian Para Games. The article says it is free to the public when no events are held, and it gives no hours.
