The Hangzhou Bay Bridge crosses the mouth of Hangzhou Bay and links Cixi with Haiyan in Zhejiang, China. About 600 experts worked on the design, and the article names no single designer. The Zhejiang Provincial Government owns it. Construction began on June 8, 2003, and the bridge opened on May 1, 2008.

The total length is 22.2 miles (35.7 kilometers), and the main span is 1,470 feet (448 meters). The bridge is cable-stayed in two separate portions. It is built with steel piles and concrete box girders, and the steel piles resist the tides.

An island service center sits along the route and has a lookout tower 478 feet (145.6 meters) tall. The article does not name an architectural style.
