Guangzhou Circle stands in Liwan District on the bank of the Pearl River. The Italian architect Joseph di Pasquale designed it for the Hongda Xingye Group, and it also houses the Guangdong Plastic Exchange. Construction started in 2013 and the building topped out that year. The article gives no completion date or style.

The tower is 138 meters (453 feet) tall with 33 floors and 85,000 square meters of floor area. Its open, unglazed central core is about 59 meters across. It is described as the world's tallest circular building. The design draws on Chinese logographic symbols and jade bi-disc imagery, and links to the Renaissance idea of squaring the circle.

Investment was about 1 billion yuan. CNN listed it in 2014 among 10 notable new buildings.
