Groningen railway station stands on Stationsplein in Groningen in the Netherlands. The first station opened on 1 June 1866 as a temporary building outside the old fortifications. It was demolished in 1894.

The present building was designed by Izaak Gosschalk and completed in 1896. Its style is described as Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance. It was restored in 2000. The station has nine platforms and is served by Nederlandse Spoorwegen and Arriva.

Groningen is known for cycling. A garage under the entrance plaza holds 4,150 bicycles, and more than 10,000 were parked around the station area as of 2010. Forty-one bus lines also stop here. The yard behind the station is to move toward Haren, freeing space for more platforms and a new bus station.
