The Great Market Hall in Budapest was designed by Samu Pecz for the capital, driven by mayor Károly Kamermayer, whose largest investment this was. It was built in 1897 and opened on February 15, 1897. The page has no infobox.

The article mentions neo-Gothic touches at the entrance gate. The structure is steel, and the roof is tiled in colorful Zsolnay tiles from Pécs. It covers about 10,000 square meters over three floors.

World War II heavily damaged it, and it then deteriorated. A thorough renovation began in 1991, and the hall reopened in 1997. It is an indoor market. The ground floor sells produce, meats, spices, sweets and wine, the second mezzanine has eateries and souvenirs, and the basement has fish, pickled vegetables and butchers. Hours are Monday 6 am to 5 pm, Tuesday to Friday 6 am to 6 pm and Saturday 6 am to 3 pm, with no Sunday hours listed.
