The Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza was designed by Heneghan Peng Architects of Ireland, led by Róisín Heneghan and Shi-Fu Peng, who won the 2002 to 2003 competition. Construction began in 2005, and the text gives completion in 2023, with an official opening on November 1, 2025. It cost $1.2 billion. The article names no style, describing a chamfered triangle.

The site lies about 1.2 miles (2 km) northwest of the Giza pyramids, with its north and south walls aligned with the pyramids of Khufu and Menkaure. The facade is described as translucent alabaster in one section and marble and glass in another. The glass-roofed atrium covers 10,000 square meters, and the Grand Staircase 6,000.

Areas conflict, including 7,000 and 7,500 square meters for the Tutankhamun halls. Highlights include an 11-meter (36-foot) Ramesses II statue and 12 permanent halls, plus a conference center and a conservation center with 19 laboratories.
