Granada Cathedral was designed by Enrique Egas, Diego de Siloé and Juan de Maeda, and the text also names Juan de Maena, Juan de Orea and Ambrosio de Vico. Alonso Cano altered the facade in 1667. The article names no client. The infobox gives groundbreaking on March 25, 1523 and completion on December 24, 1704, while the text says construction began in 1518. It was dedicated on December 1, 1946.

The article describes Renaissance and Baroque, with early Gothic plans. It has marble, Corinthian columns and stained glass. The cathedral has five naves, and the two planned 266-foot (81 m) towers were never finished.

The sacrarium was raised between 1706 and 1759, and Spain designated the cathedral a cultural heritage monument in 1929. A lookout terrace at 56 meters is scheduled to open in mid-2026. It is an active Catholic cathedral and the seat of the Archdiocese of Granada. The article gives no hours.
