The Golisano Institute for Sustainability is a research and teaching building on the Rochester Institute of Technology campus in Rochester, New York. FXFOWLE and SWBR designed it, with LeChase Construction leading the design-build team. Construction began in 2011, and SWBR lists completion in 2013. The building has 84,000 square feet (7,804 square meters).

It earned LEED Platinum, scoring 89 of 110 possible points, and is designed to be 56 percent more efficient than a standard building. Its systems include a 400-kilowatt fuel cell, a 40-kilowatt solar array and vertical wind turbines.

A central stair called the Galleria includes a 38-foot (12-meter) vegetated green wall. The building also has a Decision Theater with panoramic projection screens and a 3,300-square-foot (307-square-meter) green roof used as a butterfly habitat. B. Thomas Golisano gave $10 million toward it.
