Gardenhouse is a mixed-use building at 8600 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California. MAD Architects, led by Ma Yansong, designed it, with Gruen Associates as executive architect and landscape architect. It was completed in 2020.
The building holds 18 homes: two studios, eight condominiums, three townhouses and five villas. Commercial space sits at the ground floor. It covers about 4,460 square meters (48,000 square feet). Most units have pitched-roof volumes, and each has its own independent entry.
White facades and gabled roofs mark the exterior. A living green wall, one of the largest in the United States, is planted with native, drought-tolerant succulents and vines. A landscaped courtyard on the second floor is overlooked by balconies, and a cave-like ground-floor entrance leads to it.
