The Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in Nagaoyama Park, Katsuyama, was designed by Kisho Kurokawa. Construction ran from July 1998 to June 2000, and it opened on July 14, 2000. The building cost about ¥14 billion. The article names no client or style, but describes a dome-shaped exhibition hall with no pillars.

The site covers about 30,000 m², with about 15,000 m² of floor space. A basement passage called Dino Street holds fossils and a Camarasaurus replica. The World of Dinosaurs displays more than 40 skeletons, ten of them original fossils. The museum also has Science of the Earth, a Dino Lab and a History of Life gallery, and a field station near the quarry opened in 2014.

It drew 901,119 visitors in fiscal 2016. The article gives no hours or admission.
