The Four Seasons Centre stands at 145 Queen Street West, at University Avenue, and was designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects under Jack Diamond. The Canadian Opera Company issued the design invitation. Formal groundbreaking was in April 2003, and the grand opening gala was on June 14, 2006. The cost was about 181 million Canadian dollars against a 150 million budget. The article calls the style modernist.

The City Room foyer has glass curtain walls with steel fixtures, and dark brick covers the east, south and north sides. The horseshoe-shaped auditorium has five tiers, 2,071 seats and sits on 489 rubber insulating pads.

An elevator connects to the Osgoode subway station concourse.
