The Fondation Maeght above Saint-Paul-de-Vence was designed by Josep Lluís Sert for Marguerite and Aimé Maeght, who founded and at first funded it entirely. It opened on July 28, 1964. The article gives no construction dates. It calls the style Modernist, with a layout modeled on a Mediterranean village arranged around the chapel.

Exhibition rooms and gardens sit on terraces that follow the hill's slope. The materials include white claustra walls, glass facades, ceramics, slate, stained glass, concrete and marble. Silvio d'Ascia led a 2008 restoration and expansion, and a 2024 expansion adds over 5,000 square feet.

The foundation is described as the first building to earn HQE certification and carries a 20th Century Heritage label. The collection is given as over 12,000 pieces in one place and 13,000 in another. It draws about 200,000 visitors a year. The article gives no hours or admission fees.
