Firstsite is a visual arts venue in Colchester's cultural quarter, in a building designed by Rafael Viñoly. Colchester Council keeps the freehold, and Firstsite, a registered charity, is the tenant. The article gives no construction dates, style, materials or dimensions. It says the building opened in 2011, and its first exhibition, Camulodunum, ran from September 30, 2011 to January 15, 2012.

The article puts the cost at about 25.5 million pounds. A Guardian review criticized the sloping walls. The site lies near Colchester Castle, Hollytrees Museum and the Roman wall. Firstsite has no permanent collection and shows exhibitions on a rolling six-month basis.

The organization began in 1993 as Colchester and District Visual Arts Trust and took its name in 1995. It won the Art Fund Museum of the Year prize in 2021. The article gives no hours.
