Finlandia Hall in Helsinki was designed by Alvar Aalto for the City of Helsinki, and the article says he designed every detail. Designs were completed in 1962. Construction ran from December 1967 to December 2, 1971, and the Congress Wing, designed in 1970, was built from 1973 to 1975.

The article names no style, and the interior follows the Gesamtkunstwerk principle. The original Carrara marble cladding sits with black granite, oak parquet and Finnish birch, and the ceiling panels are American Oregon pine. The floor area is 20,524 square meters (221,000 sq ft), and the main hall seats 1,700.

The hall hosted the 1975 OSCE Summit. The Veranda was completed in 2011, and the facade was rebuilt from 2022 to 2023. The renovated building reopened on January 4, 2025. It is a congress and concert venue, and Cafe Veranda is open to the public.
