The Eye Filmmuseum stands in the Overhoeks neighborhood of Amsterdam. Delugan Meissl Associated Architects designed the building. Queen Beatrix opened it officially on April 4, 2012, and it has welcomed visitors since then. The article does not name a client, a construction start date, a style, materials or dimensions, so those details are left out here.

The museum has two gallery spaces. One holds a permanent exhibition on the technical and aesthetic history of cinema, and the other is dedicated to experimental cinema.

It also has four cinemas, with roughly 300, 127, 127 and 67 seats. Together, the galleries and cinemas let visitors both watch films and see exhibitions about cinema in one building.
