The Estonia Theatre in Tallinn was designed by the Finnish architects Armas Lindgren and Wivi Lönn and initiated by the Estonia Society. It was built from 1911 to 1913 and opened on August 24, 1913. At opening it was the largest building in Tallinn. The original style was Jugendstil, a form of Art Nouveau.
It has two large auditoriums in separate wings. The Concert Hall was entirely renovated in 1997, and a smaller chamber hall was rebuilt and opened in 2006. The text gives no materials or dimensions.
It was the main venue of the Estonian Constituent Assembly in April 1919. Soviet incendiary bombs caused extensive fire damage on March 9 and 10, 1944. The post-war reconstruction was more classical, with Stalinist elements, and kept the southern facade. The building houses the Estonian National Opera and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. The article gives no hours.
