Estádio da Luz in Lisbon was designed by Damon Lavelle of HOK Sport Venue Event, now Populous. Sport Lisboa e Benfica owns and operates it. Groundbreaking was in 2003 and the stadium opened on October 25, 2003. It cost 160 million euros, with about 22.6 million from the Portuguese government for UEFA Euro 2004. The article names no architectural style.

The design focuses on light and transparency. Four steel arches, 141 feet (43 m) high, carry the tie-beams of a polycarbonate roof, which the article says makes the roof appear to float over the stands. There are three seating tiers and 156 executive suites. The pitch measures 344 by 223 feet (105 by 68 m).

Capacity is 68,100 after renovations finished in July 2025. It hosted Euro 2004 matches and its final, and the 2014 and 2020 Champions League finals. The article gives no hours or ticket details.
