Ekenäs Castle outside Linköping was rebuilt by Per Gustafsson Banér from 1630 to 1644 on 14th-century fortress foundations. The article names no architect. It says Svante Sture built a stone house in 1592, which conflicts with his lifetime of 1517 to 1567 and with the 17th-century date. The page has no infobox.
The style is Renaissance, with Baroque tower domes and two 18th-century wings. The three-story main building has high white walls of stone, a steep roof and three square towers. A stone bridge replaced a drawbridge.
Banér's family held it until 1880, then Count Philip Klingspor, and the Bergengren family bought it in 1939. It served as a World War II military headquarters and supply dump, then declined until 1974, when it gained national cultural heritage status and was restored. The interior is open only in summer. The article gives no hours or fees.
