The Donauturm in Vienna was designed by Hannes Lintl, and the text also names Robert Krapfenbauer as a designer. Zentralsparkasse largely funded it, with a small contribution from the Schwechat Brewery, as an attraction for the 1964 Vienna International Garden Show. The infobox gives 1962 to 1964. The text gives a foundation stone on October 12, 1962 and an official opening on April 16, 1964.

The article says it shares some architectural features with the Stuttgart TV Tower but was not planned for broadcasting. It names no style or materials. The spire is 827 feet (252 m) tall, the observation platform is at 150 m and the revolving restaurants are at 161.2 and 169.4 m.

It hosts cellular and radio antennas. A 1968 balloon accident during a charity event killed three people. The stairs, 775 or 779 steps depending on the source, are usually open only for the annual tower run. The article gives no hours.
