De Haar Castle was rebuilt by P. J. H. Cuypers for Baron Etienne van Zuylen van Nyevelt van de Haar and his wife, Baroness Hélène de Rothschild, whose family financed the restoration. The infobox gives 1892 to 1907, while the text says Cuypers worked on it from 1892 to 1912.

The article names no style. It describes extensive cast iron inside, different bricks for old and new walls, and electric lighting with its own generator. It is called the largest castle in the Netherlands, with about 200 rooms, and the castle and gardens cover 45 hectares (111 acres).

Foundation Kasteel de Haar took ownership in 2000, and restoration ran from 2001 to 2011. Only a few ground- and first-floor rooms can be seen by visitors. The grounds host fairs and markets. The article gives no hours.
