The Cymbalista Synagogue and Jewish Heritage Center stands in Tel Aviv, owned by Tel Aviv University. Mario Botta designed it in 1996, and it was built in 1997–1998. Paulette and Norbert Cymbalista funded it. The article calls the style modernist and lists brick as the material.
Two matching square towers rise from a rectangular base and turn circular at their tops, reaching 44 feet (13.5 m). A rectangular lobby links them. Each tower carries a square canopy that lets daylight onto the walls, and the article says the canopies resemble a chuppah. The interior covers about 800 square meters. The Torah Ark is partly lit through translucent onyx, under a verse from Psalms 16:8.
It serves as an active synagogue, heritage center and cultural center. It was the last of twelve religious projects by Botta shown at the RIBA in London. It was protected as a heritage site in 2022. The article gives no hours.
