Cricoteka is the Tadeusz Kantor Museum at 2-4 Nadwiślańska Street in Kraków, Poland. It opened in September 2014 and preserves the objects, costumes and archives of Kantor's Cricot 2 Theatre. Wizja Architects and nsMoonStudio designed the new building, with Sławomir Zieliński as project leader and the IQ2-Group Consortium as a collaborator.
The complex joins a historic building, a former power plant, to a new one. The new building has 3,567 square meters (about 38,400 square feet) of area and is made of steel, concrete and brick. Its shape refers to Kantor's drawing Man and Table and to his ideas about packaging and monuments of impossible architecture.
The historic building holds a theatre, an archive and the Cricoteka offices. The new part holds an exhibition and educational space and a café. The collection includes theatre objects from Kantor's plays, along with drawings and documents related to his work.
