Copenhagen City Hall was designed by Martin Nyrop, selected through an architectural competition, with Vilhelm Fischer supervising the works. Copenhagen Municipality was the client. The infobox gives construction from 1893 to 1905, but the text says it began in 1892. The building was inaugurated on September 12, 1905.

The article calls the style National Romantic, with Renaissance Revival elements and inspiration from Siena's City Hall. It names no materials. Two long wings are joined by three transverse buildings, and the clock tower is 346 feet (105.6 m) tall.

It appeared in the 1978 film The Olsen Gang Goes to War, and the atrium was used for filming The Danish Girl in 2015. A 20 krone coin showing the tower was issued in 2007. It houses the City Council headquarters, the Lord Mayor's office and Jens Olsen's World Clock. The article gives no hours.
