The Co-Cathedral of Santa María de la Redonda stands in Logroño, in La Rioja, Spain. It is a co-cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calahorra and La Calzada-Logroño, which has two other cathedrals. Its name, Redonda, refers to the rounded shape of an earlier church on the site.
It became a collegiate church in the fifteenth century, when Logroño became a city, and was raised to cathedral rank in the twentieth century. It was listed as a heritage monument in 1931. Two elaborately decorated towers carry bells, and a clock with three faces on the side wall shows hours, minutes and seconds. Storks still nest on the highest ledges of the towers.
Three panels by Gillis Coignet, painted in Antwerp in 1584, depict the Annunciation, the Epiphany and Saint Peter. They came from a chapel near Nájera and were acquired in Paris early in the twentieth century.
