The Clyfford Still Museum at 1250 Bannock Street in Denver was designed by Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works Architecture, chosen in 2006. A nonprofit runs it. Clyfford Still left his estate to an American city willing to build a museum for it, and Denver was chosen in August 2004. Ground was broken in December 2009, and the museum opened on November 18, 2011. The article names no building style or materials.
The building has 28,500 square feet (2,650 m²). It holds nine galleries, a studio, visible painting storage, a conservation lab, two outdoor terraces and a forecourt green space.
The collection has 3,125 works, about 93% of the artist's output, and rotates two to three times a year. Dean Sobel was founding director from 2004 to 2020, and Joyce Tsai has been director since 2021. The article gives no hours or admission.
