Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by Anish Kapoor, chosen through a design competition, in Grainger Plaza at Millennium Park in Chicago's Loop. The article does not name the owner. It was built from 2004 to 2006, completed on August 28, 2005, and formally dedicated on May 15, 2006. It names no art movement beyond calling it a monumental abstract work.

Its surface is 168 stainless steel plates, each 3/8 inch thick, welded with no visible seams and polished to a mirror finish. It measures 33 by 66 by 42 feet (10 by 20 by 13 m) and weighs 110 short tons. The surface reflects and distorts the skyline.

A 12-foot arch lets visitors walk under it, into a chamber called the omphalos that multiplies reflections. It closed for renovation in August 2023 and reopened on June 23, 2024.
