The Cité Internationale is a quarter in Lyon's 6th arrondissement, between the Rhône and the Parc de la Tête d'Or. Renzo Piano won the 1985 international competition, launched by mayor Francisque Collomb, and became project manager. The Cité Internationale SEM was established in 1987. Construction began in September 1993 and finished in 2006 with the Crowne Plaza Hotel and an amphitheater. The article gives no style or materials.

The Musée d'art contemporain de Lyon was completed in 1998. A casino followed in 2000, the first apartments in 2001 and a Marriott hotel, originally a Hilton, in 1999. A second 32-hectare site was created in 1992.

The Passerelle de la Paix links the quarter to Caluire-et-Cuire.
