Château de Chantilly in the Oise was commissioned by Anne de Montmorency for the first mansion and the Petit Château. Pierre Chambiges designed the first mansion of 1528 to 1531, which no longer stands, and Jean Bullant probably designed the Petit Château, built around 1560. André Le Nôtre laid out the formal garden. The article does not name the architect of the Grand Château, which Henri d'Orléans, duke of Aumale, rebuilt between 1875 and 1882. The page has no infobox.
The article gives no style label, materials or dimensions, and calls the grounds a French formal garden and a landscape garden.
The Revolution destroyed the original mansion. The estate passed to the Grand Condé in 1632. It was confiscated from the Orléans family from 1853 to 1872, and the Institut de France received it in 1889. The château is open to the public, and the article gives no hours.
