The CCTV Headquarters in Beijing's central business district was designed by OMA, with Rem Koolhaas and Ole Scheeren named in the text, while the infobox lists the East China Architectural Design & Research Institute. The design won an international competition in 2002, and construction began on June 1, 2004. China Media Group is client, developer and owner.

The article calls it a loop of six horizontal and vertical sections rather than a traditional tower, with an open center and an irregular facade grid. It has 51 floors, including three below ground, and the roof is 768 feet (234 m) high.

The infobox gives completion as May 16, 2012, while the text gives the facade completion in January 2008 and an official opening on January 1, 2008. Floor area is 389,079 square meters in the infobox and 473,000 in the text. It won the CTBUH's 2013 Best Tall Building Worldwide award.
