Casa Botines in León was designed by Antoni Gaudí for Simón Fernández and Mariano Andrés, owners of a fabrics company who bought from Eusebi Güell, and Güell recommended the commission. The text gives 1891 to 1892, and the infobox gives no construction dates.
The article calls the style Modernisme with neo-Gothic features, including an inclined roof and corner towers. The ground floor has cast-iron pillars in a frame on pilotis foundations, and the building also has a wrought-iron inscription, a stone sculpture of Saint George, iron tie-beams and a complex wooden roof framework. It has four floors, a basement and an attic, with no measurements given.
Caja León, later Caja España, bought it in 1929 and adapted it without altering Gaudí's design. A 1950 restoration found a lead tube containing the original plans. It now houses a Gaudí museum. The article gives no hours or admission.
