The Cần Thơ Bridge crosses the Hậu (Bassac) River between Cần Thơ and Vĩnh Long in Vietnam. Consultant Nippon Koei-Chodai supervised the project, and Taisei, Kajima and Nippon Steel built it. JICA funded it through a JBIC loan, together with the Vietnamese government. Construction began on September 25, 2004, and the bridge opened on April 24, 2010.
It is a cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 1,804 feet (550 meters). The bridge itself is 9,022 feet (2,750 meters) long, and the article gives 52,001 feet (15,850 meters) including the approach ramps. Six lanes cross it, and ships have 128 feet (39 meters) of clearance.
The bridge also has lanes for bicycles and motorbikes. The article does not name a designer or the materials.
