The Cairo Tower was designed by Naoum Shebib for the Government of Egypt. The infobox and text agree on construction from 1956 to 1961. The article says the funding came from a CIA-linked US source, citing documents by Major General Adel Shaheen, and that Nasser transferred the money to the Egyptian government. Cost is listed as roughly US$1 to 3 million.

The infobox lists Ancient Egyptian, and the text says the design is inspired by ancient Egyptian architecture, with a lattice evoking a lotus. It is free-standing concrete, 614 feet (187 m) high, with the top floor at 143 m and 16 floors.

A 2006 to 2009 restoration, costing about 15 million Egyptian pounds, added floors, an emergency staircase, an elevator and LED lighting. It was the tallest structure in Egypt until 1998. A 1990s fatwa calling for demolition was never carried out. The article gives no hours or prices.
