Brooklyn Bridge Park is an 85-acre (34 ha) waterfront park along the East River in Brooklyn, running from Atlantic Avenue to Jay Street. Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates was hired in 2004 by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation. New York State and New York City created the park under a 2002 agreement. The designers describe a post-industrial nature concept, and the article names no formal style.

Construction began on January 28, 2008. Pier 1 opened in March 2010 and the park was finished in December 2021. Features include Jane's Carousel, the Bird Island nature preserve, the Pier 5 athletic fields, noise-buffering hills, and the reused Empire Stores and Tobacco Warehouse.

The park is open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. and the article gives no fees. Several bus routes, the 2 and 3 subway at Clark Street and NYC Ferry serve it.
