Brahmeswara Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Queen Kolavati Devi, mother of the Somavamsi king Udyota Kesari, built it. A lost inscription dated it to the king's 18th regnal year, given as 1058 CE in one place and 1060 CE in another. Historians generally place it in the late 11th century.
It follows the Odia design, with a jagmohana, or assembly hall, in front of the shikhara, the towering sanctuary. The plan is panchayatana, a main shrine with four subsidiary shrines at the corners. The vimana is 62.2 feet (18.96 m) high, and the stone is carved inside and outside using wood-carving methods. It was the first temple in Odia architectural history to use iron beams.
Exterior walls show musicians and dancers, some holding lutes, and the temple has images of the eight directional guardian deities.
