Bourges Cathedral was begun in 1195 by Archbishop Henri de Sully, and Jacques Coeur's family were major donors. The infobox gives completion as about 1230, while the text says the nave was finished around 1235 and roofing ran to 1259. The article names no architect.
The core is High Gothic, with a Flamboyant west front and north tower and Romanesque remnants. It is 387 feet (118 m) long inside, and the nave is 135 feet (41 m) wide and 122 feet (37 m) high. There is no transept, and the nave has double aisles. The oak roof frame used about 900 trees.
The north tower collapsed in 1506, and Protestants pillaged the building in 1562. It has a 1424 astronomical clock and 13th-century stained glass. UNESCO listed it in 1992, and it remains the seat of the Archbishop of Bourges.
