Bodbe Monastery in eastern Georgia is a nunnery and a major pilgrimage site, holding the relics of Saint Nino. King Mirian III ordered a small monastery built where Nino was buried. The article gives the original construction as the 9th century, though it dates the extant church to between the 9th and 11th centuries, and the infobox lists completion in the 17th century. It names no architect.
The extant church is a three-nave basilica with three protruding apses. A small hall church with an apse over Nino's grave is built into the larger aisled basilica. The walls are plastered and show traces of 17th- and 19th-century restoration.
A free-standing three-story bell tower went up between 1862 and 1885. The original surrounding wall was restored in 2003, after part of the 17th-century wall was demolished.
