Blackpool Tower was designed by James Maxwell and Charles Tuke, who died before it opened, with Heenan & Froude as structural engineers. The Blackpool Tower Company was the client. The infobox gives 1891 to 1894. The text dates the foundation stone to September 29, 1891 but says a time capsule was buried under it on September 25. It opened on May 14, 1894.

The article says it was inspired by the Eiffel Tower. It uses about 5 million Accrington bricks, 3,478 long tons of steel and 352 long tons of cast iron, and is 518 feet 9 inches (158.1 m) tall. The Tower Buildings are Grade I listed.

Steelwork was replaced from 1920 to 1924. It holds an observation deck, a ballroom and a circus, and the top closes in winds above 45 mph. The article gives no hours.
