The Berlin Palace on Spree Island, beside Berlin Cathedral, was begun in 1443 for the Electors of Brandenburg, later the Kings of Prussia and German Emperors. Andreas Schlüter designed the Baroque rebuilding, and Franco Stella designed the reconstruction. The infobox gives completion as 1894, while the text calls the 1845 dome the final stage.
The article calls the style Prussian Baroque. The reconstructed outer walls are brick, sandstone and stucco over concrete and insulation. The dome is 200 feet (60 m) high, and the original outer walls were about 3 feet (1 m) thick.
East German authorities demolished the palace in 1950, and the Palast der Republik was built there from 1973 to 1976. The reconstruction's foundation stone was laid in 2013. The infobox gives 2020 for completion, while the text says the last decoration was mounted in 2025. It houses the Humboldt Forum museum and congress complex. The article gives no hours.
