Beijing Daxing International Airport was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, with the French planners ADPI. The Beijing Institute of Architectural Design executed the terminal. Beijing Capital International Airport Company owns and operates it. Construction began on December 26, 2014, and the airport opened on September 25, 2019, with the first commercial flight the next day.

Its nickname is the starfish, for a central hub and six curved spokes. The article calls the 700,000-square-meter (7.5 million sq ft) terminal the world's largest single-building airport terminal. The site covers about 6,620 acres (2,679 ha). It has four civilian runways and two control towers.

A ground transportation center sits beneath the terminal. The Daxing Airport Express and the Beijing–Xiong'an intercity railway both opened on September 26, 2019. The airport handled 53.6 million passengers in 2025. The article gives no admission details.
