Babelsberg Palace in Potsdam was designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, who led the work until his death in 1841, with Ludwig Persius and Johann Heinrich Strack. Prince William, later Emperor William I, was the client. The infobox and text agree on construction in two phases from 1833 to 1849.

The article calls the style English Gothic Revival. It names no materials or dimensions. The palace was the template for Kittendorf Palace, built from 1848 to 1853 by Friedrich Hitzig. On September 22, 1862, William I and Otto von Bismarck met there, leading to Bismarck's appointment as Minister President.

It was William I and Augusta's summer residence for over 50 years. It joined UNESCO World Heritage in 1990 as part of the Palaces and Parks of Potsdam and Berlin. Renovation of its facades and interiors has run since 2013. The article gives no hours.
