B of the Bang was a sculpture by Thomas Heatherwick in Beswick, next to the City of Manchester Stadium. New East Manchester commissioned it in 2003. The central core was lifted into place in August 2004, and it was unveiled on January 12, 2005. It cost 1.42 million pounds. The article names no style.

The weathering steel sculpture stood 56 meters (184 feet) tall and weighed 165 tonnes. It had 180 hollow tapered steel spikes radiating from a core, meant to look like an exploding firework. It leaned at 30 degrees on foundations 20 meters deep.

A spike tip fell off on January 6, 2005, and the site was fenced off. Manchester City Council began legal action in 2007 and settled out of court for 1.7 million pounds in 2008. Dismantling began in April 2009, and the core was sold for scrap for 17,000 pounds in 2012.
