Atlantis, The Palm sits at the apex of the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. Northpoint of South Africa did the concept design, with WATG as architect of record. Kerzner International Resorts developed it, and Laing O'Rourke handled design and construction. Construction started in 2006, and the resort opened on September 24, 2008. The article describes the style as nautical, themed on the Atlantis myth with Arabian elements.

It stands 93 meters (305 feet) tall in an East and West Tower, with 1,544 rooms. Aquaventure is its water park, and the Lost Chambers Aquarium holds over 65,000 marine animals.

The Poseidon and Neptune Underwater Suites total 165 square meters (1,780 square feet), with the master bedroom submerged.
