ArqPoli is the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, in the Hato Rey district of San Juan. Its home is the university's multipurpose building, expanded and renovated in a $10 million project that broke ground in 2011. The building was inaugurated shortly before the 2013 academic year.
The School of Architecture holds the second and third floors, with a reception room, administrative offices, design studios, an exhibition area, faculty offices, lounges and a new 300-seat amphitheater. The Socio-Humanistic Studies faculty has the mezzanine.
Dean Carlos Betancourt-Llambias described the result as characterized by light, spatial flow and an innovative use of materials. A second phase planned a new pedestrian entrance on Ponce de Leon Avenue, near the Urban Train.
