Arena Națională in Bucharest was designed by Gerkan, Marg and Partners for the Municipality of Bucharest, which owns it. The old National Stadium was demolished between December 2007 and February 2008. Groundbreaking was February 20, 2008, with Max Bögl and Astaldi as contractors. It opened on September 6, 2011, with a Euro 2012 qualifier against France. The cost was €234 million. The article names no style.

Football capacity is 55,634, including 3,600 VIP seats and 42 executive suites. The pitch is 105 by 68 meters, a hybrid of natural grass reinforced with synthetic fibers. The retractable roof opens or closes in about 15 minutes. The article does not name its material.

It hosted the 2012 UEFA Europa League final and four Euro 2020 matches. Tenants are the national team, FCSB and, for selected matches, Dinamo București.
