Antibes Cathedral, Notre-Dame-de-l'Immaculée-Conception, is a Roman Catholic church on the French Riviera. A bishopric was established here around 450 by Pope Leo I, and the bishops moved to Grasse in 1244. Local tradition holds that a pagan temple to Diana and Minerva once stood on the site and that St Paul preached there in AD 63. Saracen pirates destroyed the church in 1124, and it was rebuilt, with the choir dating to that phase.
Austrian bombardment during the siege of 1746 and 1747 destroyed it again, and Louis XV issued an edict for reconstruction in June 1747. The external form dates largely from that time, with an Italian-style facade.
It has three naves and a large organ at the rear. An altarpiece of Our Lady of the Rosary from 1515 is by Louis Brea. It became a listed historic monument in 1945.
