Adolf Fredrik Church stands in central Stockholm and is a Protestant church of the Church of Sweden. It is named after King Adolf Frederick. It was built from 1768 to 1774 and consecrated on November 27, 1774. It replaced a wooden chapel from 1674 that was dedicated to Saint Olof.

The church has a cemetery. Inside is a memorial to René Descartes, installed by Gustav III. Descartes was first buried in the cemetery in 1650, before his remains were moved to France.

Notable burials include Olof Palme, who was assassinated a block from the church, and Prime Minister Hjalmar Branting. The composer Anders Eliasson and the physicist Carl Benedicks are also buried there.
