Academy Stadium is part of the Etihad Campus in Sportcity, Manchester, designed by Rafael Viñoly. Manchester City F.C. owns and operates it, and BAM Construction built it. The 80-acre training facility was announced on September 19, 2011 and cost 200 million pounds. The campus opened on December 8, 2014, and the first official matches were played on December 14, 2014. The article gives no style or materials.

The stadium holds 4,998 seats, out of 7,000 overall capacity. It includes a press room, board room, offices and retail space. A 190-meter bridge over Ashton New Road and Alan Turing Way links the campus to the City of Manchester Stadium.

It hosted the 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Championship and UEFA Women's Euro 2022 Group D matches. Critics, including Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir, called it a training ground. It was renamed Joie Stadium in September 2023.
